Both have their advantages. It is impossible to compare them for real as either of them are there with a different role in crypto.

What does a trader like me need BTC for?
ETH is flexible and cheap during trading.

Disagree. If you are looking for something cheap to trade, then trade the XRP for example. Bitcoin is the standard of cryptocurrencies and it is the most reliable. Ether is a new cryptocurrency and it has much less investors than on the Ether.

I believe in bitcoin more than in Ethereum. Ethereum is also a strong cryptocurrency, but it is not so popular among investors. Bitcoin will always be the number one among cryptocurrencies and there is no replacement for it.
same opinion with you. Bitcoin is always the best coin to date. And for a long time coming.

I don't doubt the reliability of bitcoin. What I'm saying here is, as someone who trades, not just buying and holding, ETH is flexible and cheaper to move around from exchange to exchange, thereby maximizing your profit. Moreover bitcoin market is populated. If you just want to buy and hold, them bitcoin is the coin. But as a trader, opt for ETH.

Both cryptocurrencies are still of good value, but in terms of the utility of ETH technology, ETH has value, and bitcoin is not even suitable as a means of payment, so the potential of ETH is greater
