It's not worth to mining on your PC mate. You will destroy your pc and you cant work on other things, you need a mining rig to mine.

Re: Is Mining Still Profitable?
Personally I think that the mining can still be profitable in some countries even with a bear market if your electricity is very cheap and you have dedicated hardware otherwise better go your way because with a simple pc the task becomes really hard. From what I could read on the internet in a country like Venezuela, with the lowest electricity rate in the world ($ 0.002 per kWh), you could theoretically extract 1 bitcoin for less than $ 600

It is better to spend money on the purchase of cryptocurrency that are going to mine, it will be a more profitable investment in the future.

Re: Is Mining Still Profitable?
Well mostly the cpu miners are using around 70% of the cpu, so you still can use your pc.
The GPU miner is using a little more of the hardware, but also not that much so you still can use your pc.
But then again, you need allready a pretty good pc with alot of L3 cache on the cpu if you want to do cpu mining. And allready a good GFX card if you want to do GPU mining.
If you use a notebook, i would say don't do it.
If its a normal pc you always can try it. But it is not that it earns that good

Re: Is Mining Still Profitable?
Some have been mining since especially if you have a good weather and a fairly low electricity consumption which is available in some countries, then you are on a good path to mining. Choose your coins to be mine wisely. If you're gonna hodl them, in btc's case, much better.

Re: Is Mining Still Profitable?
Trading would still be the best option unless you know the most profitable coins. With the current market, a lot of miners had shut down their rigs.

Re: Is Mining Still Profitable?
Trading is good if you only have the advanced skills to do that. A 1% trade every hour is better than a 100% trade once a month. Eventually, this really takes a lot of skills and dedication. I rarely see this one these days. But I still hope to do it one day.

there are news late last year that miners in china were selling their rig by the kilo. asics that were worth 20k cny before are now being sold at around 1k cny.
